Captain Jack
With personality and swagger to spare, and all wrapped in a tiny little 3.5 pound body, Jack is the heart and soul of Mountain High Mi-kis. From the day Jack arrived from Texas, he has gone everywhere with us, from theaters and movie houses, to stores and five star restaurants. Jack has flown with us to New York City, where he rode the bull on Wall Street and went to the top of the Empire State Building, sailed with us to Vancouver, Canada, where he stopped traffic with his winning personality, and driven with us 5400 miles in a motor home to Florida. Jack and Dawn are frequent visitors to local retirement centers and hospitals where Jack is used as a therapy dog. His gentle, out-going nature appeals to people of all ages. Jack is not a barker, in fact he “chirps” and “talks” instead when he has something to say. If there is a perfect example of the true nature of a Mi-ki, it is Captain Jack.

Anne Bonny
Annie’s eyes are the windows to her soul. I defy anyone to look into those eyes and not want to pick her up and hug her! Annie is as sweet natured an animal as you will find. When you arrive home at the end of the day, while everyone else runs to greet you, Annie first stops to pick up a toy so that she does not greet you empty handed. Annie loves nothing more than a carefree run in the backyard with a few stops for flower sniffing along the way. Annie’s coat is a lush soft white with red patches. Her tail is long and flowing and beautifully placed on her back. Annie is a slightly larger Mi-ki, at 8 pounds, and we have found that many of our friends with younger children really like that about her, as they sometimes worry about their kids with very tiny dogs. She of course, LOVES children, and the cat too. She was born in July of 2005.

Bindi
Bindi was born in July of 2006 in Oregon. Ever playful and always looking for a playmate, Bindi is a favorite with the kids. She can usually be found wrestling Foxy or playing gently with new puppies. She is our first “Smoothie,” meaning her coat lies close to her body and skull with no presence of a beard or mustache on her face, and she has short fringing on the ears and on both the front and rear legs and the tail. Bindi is also extremely fond of snuggling, and it is often a game of rock-paper-scissors between she and Foxy to see who gets the coveted spot in Mommy’s arms at night. Bindi will be ready to have her own babies sometime next year.

LADY
Just in time for Christmas 2006, Lady joined the Mountain High Mi-ki Pack. Full of spirit, spunk and love, Lady brings a great deal of laughter to our home. Immediately Lady hit it off with the gang. She adores playing with Jack and Bindi, and can often be found stirring up mischief with cohort Bindi. Lady Bug has a lush tri-color coat with lovely "up ears" and gorgeous baby doll eyes. Fully grown Lady should be about 5 pounds, and we hope to breed her to Jack when she matures.

Snuffy
In January 2007, we welcomed our Snuffy to the family. All of our breeder friends told us that we would lose our hearts to one of our own puppies, and they sure were right! Born of Annie and Captain Jack she possesses all the best qualities of both parents. Her eyes like her mommy’s melt your heart, her gentle nature soothes away your stress, her gorgeous coat is as lush as her daddy’s and no one likes to play more than Snuffy. She and Foxy are best friends and can often be found playing with the family cat, Smudge. Snuffy will be about 8-9 pounds full grown and should be ready to have babies of her own next year. Snuffy’s favorite time of day is dawn, when she crawls into Mommy’s arms for her morning bonding time.

Foxy
May 25007 brought us a new baby from Illinois! Foxy is the newest member of our crew. She is a red and white smooth coat, out of very old and treasured lines. She epitomizes the standard for a smooth coat with a perfect apple dome head, a short nose, gorgeous long tail, and lively spirited personality. Foxy will begin her show campaign this fall, and we look forward to seeing her strut her stuff! Foxy has yet to realize she is the baby, as she will play and roughhouse with everybody, including our Newfoundland. She is the class clown of the family, and keeps us laughing.

Bonnie Lass
Affectionately known at our Lodge, as Boo Baby, Boo was born in April of 2005. She is a little spitfire at 4 pounds 14 ounces. Boo’s personality is absolutely delightful, and everyone who comes to visit falls in love with her immediately. When Boo is happy, which is most of the time, her entire rear end wriggles with enthusiasm. Her happiest times are either playing tag with Jack and Annie, wrestling with Foxy, or sitting comfortably in any available lap! Boo’s coat is gorgeous, and her ears are extremely mobile and convey every emotion she feels. Boo is a world traveler as well, and will often be seen sitting in the front seat on the shoulder of the passenger. Her favorite outings are the “Big Orange Store”, Home Depot with Dad, or any ice cream parlor with Mom. When you want a dog to join you on a hike, Boo is your girl! This little one has climbed many of our local Wasatch Mountains with us. She uses her own four-on-the-floor most of the way, and then happily hops in Mom’s fanny pack for the final ascent.
